October 20, 1998 - The Champaign-Urbana Computer Users Group (CUCUG) announced today that it has entered into an arrangement with Kagi, an established and respected Internet payment processing service allowing it to accept payments for membership via nearly all major credit cards.
"We're very excited about the new service. Many of our international members have been asking for the ability to use their credit card and we are happy to finally work out the details," said Kevin Hisel, a CUCUG representative. Hisel went on to point out that the addition of the credit card payment option makes it much more convenient for both international and US members to join the organization.
CUCUG members may now use their Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover and Diners Card to pay for their membership dues. Both secure (SSL) and non-secure payment pages are offered and multiple languages are supported.
Users of the group's popular Amiga Web Directory web site are encouraged to join CUCUG to support the efforts of the club. Dues are currently only $20 and membership is valid through December 31, 1999.
Members receive a subscription to the CUCUG monthly newsletter, The Status Register via e-mail every month with timely Amiga news and reviews. They also receive the CUCUG membership card. Many Amiga-oriented vendors also offer CUCUG member specials which only CUCUG members can take advantage of.
